On October 18, 2007, Deadwyler
hosted an exclusive private showing of art and antiques
to celebrate the opening of its new neighbor, the new
Jane Woodruff Pavilion at the Shepherd Center.
The event was sponsored by Chubb Insurance Group

Mark
Schaffer
"Jewels as Art: The Incredible Works
of Peter Carl Fabergé" was the topic for
May. Mr. Schaffer, of New York's venerable A La
Vieille Russie, is a fifth generation dealer
and scholar of Faberge and other Russian works of art.
Part of his Gallery Talk addressed the astounding prices
being paid by Russians to reclaim objets d'art and other
pieces of their nation's cultural heritage.

| Jamie
Drake
Award-winning decorator and member of the Interior Design
Hall of Fame, Jamie Drake is known
for his dramatic use of color and bold mixture of periods
and styles. He has designed homes for luminaries ranging
from Madonna to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg
and is equally fluent in contemporary and traditional
environments. A career highlight to date for Mr. Drake
was the 2002 renovation of Gracie Mansion, the official
residence of the Mayor of the City of New York.
March 21, 2007 -- "Jamie
Drake's New American Glamour," a private
benefit event, held at Deadwyler and co-hosted by
Tew Galleries
(www.tewgalleries.com).
March 22, 2007 -- Drake returned
to the Deadwyler gallery for
"Mixing Antiques and Contemporary Art For Today's
Vibrant Interiors,"
also co-hosted by Tew
Galleries.
